Training & Reflections

This section of the site is a place for reflective writing alongside my counselling training.

The posts here aren’t intended to offer advice, instruction, or therapeutic insight into other people’s lives. Instead, they focus on the process of training itself - learning, ethics, boundaries, supervision, and the gradual development that comes with preparing for counselling work responsibly.

Reflection is a central part of counsellor training, but it needs to be held with care. Writing publicly is different from supervision or personal therapy, and I’m mindful of that distinction. What appears here is considered, professional reflection rather than personal processing.

You won’t find detailed accounts of classes, emotional disclosures, or analysis of people or situations. The emphasis is on noticing how learning unfolds over time, how theory and practice begin to connect, and how responsibility and restraint are just as important as curiosity.

Posts are added occasionally rather than frequently. This reflects the pace of training itself - steady, thoughtful, and without urgency.

As my training develops, this section will grow with it. For now, it reflects where I am: learning, reflecting, and staying within my limits.
